What is Tajikistan visa?

Visa is a permission which gives right to the foreign citizen to entry into and travel within Tajikistan.

What do I need for my visa application?

You need to have a travel document valid for at least 6 months from the date you intend to enter Tajikistan. Depending on type of visa, there may be additional requirements.

Which embassies should I select for my visa application?

You need to select embassy of Tajikistan in your country or nearest embassy to your country, then continue due to visa application requirements.

How much should I pay for my visa application?

Price depends on embassy. Depending on countries price may be different.

How do you protect the information that I share during my visa application process?

The Republic of Tajikistan does not sell, rent or otherwise use for commercial purposes any personal information entered in the Visa Application System to third parties. Any information obtained at each stage of the application and at the end of the process is stored in high security systems. The applicant bears full responsibility for the safety of the soft and hard copies of the Visa. The applicant also bears full responsibility of this information should it fall into the hands of third parties.

Do I need to obtain a separate visa for people accompanying me?

Yes. You do. Each person must have a separate visa.

If the information on my visa does not fully match the information on my travel document, can I enter Tajikistan with this visa?

No, you cannot. Your visa is invalid. You must obtain another visa.

I would like to stay in Tajikistan for a period of time longer than the visa permits. What should I do?

You can extend your visa at the Main Consular Department of MoFA in Dushanbe, except Tourist visa. Tourist visa cannot be extended.

How long before my travel date should I apply for visa?

Within five working days before you intend to travel to Tajikistan you can apply for obtaining a visa.

Can visa holder entry to Tajikistan from all border points?

Yes. Visa holder can enter to the Republic of Tajikistan through all border points.

What is a «GBAO» permit?

The «GBAO» is Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region which requires a special permission in addition to the Tajikistan Visa in order to travel there. Holder of «GBAO» permit is allowed to entrance to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region except the territory of Sarez Lake.

What is a permit to GBAO?

The GBAO is Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous region which requires a special permission in addition to the Tajikistan E-Visa. Holders permit to Autonomous Mountainous Region of Badakhshan is permitted entrance to the Autonomous Mountainous Region of Badakhshan except the territory of Sarez Lake.

Do I need to enter to Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region on the exact date specified on my visa?

Yes. You do. You can enter to Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region from the date which is specified on your visa.

Do I need to enter to GBAO on the exact date specified on my e-Visa?

Yes. You should enter to GBAO which is specified on your e-Visa.

How much does a permit to GBAO cost?

The permit to GBAO costs 20$ US dollars.

Can I obtain a multiple –entries to GBAO?

No, It’s only for a single entry as a visa will be issued for is single entry.

Can I get a refund if I do not use my permit to GBAO?

No. We cannot refund payments for unused permit to GBAO.

What is an e-Visa?

An e-Visa is an official document permitting entry into and travel within Tajikistan.

What do I need for my e-Visa application?

You need to have a travel document valid for at least 6 months from the date you intend to enter Tajikistan. Depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements.

What are the advantages of e-Visa?

An e-Visa can be obtained easily anywhere with an internet connection and it saves time that you would otherwise spend on visa applications upon arrival at the Dushanbe and Khujand international airport.

Do I need to enter Tajikistan on the exact date specified in my application?

No. The validity period of your e-Visa begins from the date specified in your application. You can enter Tajikistan on any date within this period. Electronic visa of the Republic of Tajikistan is valid for 90 days, however the visa holder can stay in the territory of the country for no more than 60 calendar days.

If my travel dates change, can I apply for e-Visa amendment for change of date?

No. You must obtain another e-Visa.

You can’t stay in Tajikistan more than 60 days and you must leave country before your e-Visa expires. Please note that an e-Visa is granted only for tourism and business.

Are credit card payments made on the e-Visa web page secure?

I have completed my application. When will I obtain my e-Visa?

The link to download your e-visa is given on the final step where you will be informed that your application has been completed successfully. In addition, the same link to download your e-Visa will be emailed to you.

How much is an amount of the consular fee for consideration of the evisa application?

The amount of the consular fee for consideration of the evisa application is about 50$, with GBAO permit about 70$

If my e-Visa application is denied, will my payment be refunded?

If e-Visa application is denied, the fee cannot be refunded.

How long before my travel date should I apply for e-Visa?

Due to the epidemiological situation in the world, it is recommend to apply for a visa two weeks before the trip.

I have realized that some information on my e-Visa does not match the information on my travel document. I know that my e-Visa is invalid. Can I get a refund?

In this case, the fee also cannot be refunded and the applicant should apply for a new e-Visa. The applicant assumes responsibility for any mistakes made in his or her application.

I do not have a credit card or debit card. Is there any other way to make the payment?

No, only credit or debit cards are acceptable. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards

How long will my e-Visa be valid for?

For 60 days.

Do I have to obtain an e-Visa if I do not leave the international transit area?

No. You do not have to get a visa if you are not going to leave the international transit area.

Can e-visa holders entry to Tajikistan from all border points?

E-visa holders can enter to the Republic of Tajikistan through all border points.

Can I get refund, if I cancelled my evisa application?

No. Payments for cancelled evisa applications are non-refundable.

What do I pay for?

You pay consular fee for consideration of the evisa application

If I did not receive an email on the status of my application what should I do?

If you did not receive an email on the status of your application, you can find it in the webportal in APPLICATION - MANAGE YOUR APPLICATIONS.

If I am not received email

Firstly need to check your address in your application go to Application -> Manage Application. After typed all requirement data (Email, Passport number, Date of birth) you should see your application status and buttons “View” or “Modify” Check your address after clicking on any buttons “View” or “Modify”

My email is correct but anyway not received email from evisa.tj

If your email address is correct and not received any email from visa system then need to check your SPAM folder.

How to change my application data?

For change data in your application need to go to Application -> Manage Application. After typed all requirement data (Email, Passport number, Date of birth) you should see your application status and button “Modify”

How to retry your payment

To retry your payment go to the menu 'Application' -> 'Manage your application'. Fill in your application data and press button “Check”. After this you should see the button “Pay”. If payment process is interrupted, the applicant has to retry it after 30 mins.

Application status “CheckStatusPaymentConfirmationInProgress”

This status means your application payment status is being checked by the system. Processing can take 30 mins or more depending on the applicant's bank response.

Timeout between payments retry

If the applicant paid and the applicant's bank did not respond, the system will check the payment status every 30 mins.

Payment pending

If you paid or the payment procedure is interrrupted, then the system will check your payment status every 30 mins. After 30 mins you can repeat your payment again by going to the menu Application -> Manage your application.

Incorrectly entered 3DSecure/Securecode

If you filled in your 3DSecure code incorrectly or don’t remember it, please contact your bank. If you see any error in the epay.tj page, please pay attention to the error text or code
